Sat Nam Rasayan is a traditional healing art of Kundalini Yoga which means "deep relaxation in the Divine Name".

It´s a very old science and today when practicing we refer to Guru Ram Das (1531 - 1581), the fourth Guru of the Sikh.

Although he did not create Sat Nam Rasayan, he represented perfectly neutrality, one of the characteristics of the Sacred Space we use in Sat Nam Rasayan. In ancient times, this healing art was transmitted in silence - one master, one disciple.

Also Yogi Bhajan learned it this way and taught it like this to his student, Guru Dev Singh. In 1988, they talked for the first time about what happened and Yogi Bhajan sent Guru Dev Singh to Rome to found a school. When giving a treatment with Sat Nam Rasayan, the healer uses an altered state of consciousness, the Sacred Space. In this space he relates to his event / patient in a direct, neutral way.

There does not exist difference or distance. The healer feels the event in his own consciousness and through neutrality the tendency of the disease will be modified. So, neutrality, the silence of mind is an essential point.

Guru Dev Singh once said: "Just as you produce thoughts, you produce silence. Just as you suppose, you stop supposing." Another important point for a healer with Sat Nam Rasayan is to maintain the intention to heal. This means first to take the decision to heal and in relation with the event / patient to integrate all experiences.

Although the healer has got a clear intention, it is very posible that at a certain point he will feel resistances. A resistance is something limiting the Sacred Space, a form of concentration. To disolve resistances, one way is to permit them, to include them in the relation until they diappear.

For beginners, there are three laws in Sat Nam Rasayan:

1. In the sensitive space, everything you know is because you feel it.

2. The only thing you can feel is yourself feeling

3. Everything you feel is included in the relation. And the most important law is to practice, to save ancient arts of healing and help others.

============================================================

Sat Nam Rasayan translated means the deep relaxation in to your True Self. It is a form of healing that uses a specific state of the meditative consciousness as a tool for healing. The practitioner works with their inner sensations and awareness, and lightly touches the patient. Through a process of stabilizing their awareness and increasing their sensitivity, congestions and imbalances in the patient are released.
