INTRODUCTION

The modern life pattern is full of stress and strain. The increasingly complex civilization of modern time brings and average citizen in more and more Problems. The whole world has been reduced to a small community and people are living like a machine. Our ancient scientists observed our body in
Six chakras and these are the energy centers in our body. Through stimulation of these chakra we can get the physical mental & spiritual powers, but our erratic life style with irregular sleep habits, smoking, drinking, over indulgences on fatty and non vegetarian foods, extra marital sex and a highly responsible executive job without enough relaxation, made our body like a machine and this is the main cause for all the ailments and cancer is also one cause for that life style.
Ancient & Modern View: Cancer is not confined to any particular race of people, for all human races are known to be effected. Even animal, birds, fish and plants have similar growth. Cancer is more common among affluent races and the average life span among them is longer as they have more modern advanced medical facilities. In spite of their richness and, medical care, they fall the prey to cancer. Every person should know about cancer and should undergo the necessary examination to make sure he does not have cancer on one form or another, It is not intended to imply that every individual will have cancer, but cancer is a possibility that everyone must face. It is necessary to be aware of the dangers and to face it intelligently and courageously. It is important to know that even the most skilled surgeons cannot even help a person (get him well) if the cancer has progressed to far before it is discovered.

TYPES
A localized growth of cells produces a local swelling generally called tumor, not all tumor, however, are cancerous. Some are harmless growth, which do not spread or tend to kill. Such growths are said to be benign, while cancer are said to be malignant. A benign tumor grows expansively; that is, it grows like an apple or mango on a tree. It begins small and grows large. A cancer on the other hand grows invasively, that is it sends out fine arms that break off and go to different part of the body and start up new growths. When operating on a benign tumor, a surgeon can remove it as you would remove a nut from within a shell. When operation in cancer however the surgeon does not know how far the fine arms have gone for they cannot be seen. That is why cancer should be removed early before they begin spreading their arms. It is not know why cancer acts as it does normal cell and cancer cell both possess the properties of unlimited growth if allowed to live and grow in culture mediums out side the body from which they came, normal cells immediately become obedient to the laws of the body ; but cancer cells continue to be out laws.

STRESS AND CANCER
Stress much in excess of usual dosage, depresses the immune system, acting like a immune-suppressant drug. On Cogenesis blow up to quick malignancies in the fertile field with depressed immune defense, the possibility of winning the struggle gets more and more remote. Responses to stress can be positive and negative. Adaptation adjustment to the stress leading to healthy growth and living of the individual is positive. Maladjustment to stress leading to the weakening of the person-these are negative responses. Maladjustment to mounting and challenging stresses leads to a break down of the source run of cancer. The obvious association is that the occurrence of cancer causes severe stress.
It is not yet know precisely what produces cancer. It is believed by many, that cancer is discussed condition produced by a virus but it is also altogether probable that cancer results from no single cause and the conditions that are responsible for it in one organ or tissue may have no relation to the factors that are responsible for it in another. The factor, which starts a cancer, may be removed but the cells keep on with their rapid disarranged growth even though the casual factors have been eliminated period examinations are most important after the age of forty.

SYMPTOMS

If cancer is discovered at an early stage it is usually curable. Pain is rarely an early symptoms. There are, however some symptoms, which should receive, prompt attention by the physician.

YOGA: THE HOLISTIC SOLUTION
According to the world health organization (WHO) the state of health is defined as a state of complete physical mental-spiritual and social well being and not merely an absence of disease. Yoga is a systematic conscious process for accelerating the growth of a human being from his animal level to normalcy, then to supper human level and ultimately divinity; it is a systematic methodology for an all round personality development Physical-Mental-Intellectual-Emotional and spiritual components of the man.
Dr. H.R. Nagendra, the Director of swami Vivekanad Yoga Anusandhan Sansthan, Banglore has developed so many yogic techniques for handling the psychosomatic ailments from the uparisolic knowledge he presents the yoga in a systematic and scientific way. Yoga offers a holistic solution. The first level handing is at the body level to use techniques of relaxation simple asanas provide mastery over different group of muscles by increasing the elasticity of the muscle fibers and releasing tensions and stress. The release of stresses at body level will give deep rest to all the organs and systems in our body. The second level operation is slowing and balancing of breath with pranayama can slow down the breath effectively restores balance of breathe between the two nostrils.
Associating a feeling of deep relaxation can work wonders specially in cancer cases. The third level handling is at emotional and mental levels.
Reduction of hypersensitive reactions causing great anxieties by slowing down and balancing breaths strengthen the immune system . This is done through devotional sessions, Anandasana (Yoga nidra) and cyclic meditation. When emotions subside and mind gets into a state of deep rest, a resolve is made that strengthens the will and thus the immune defense. The forth level approach is to use the Upanishad-wisdom, which corrects our wrong notions about happiness, misery, death etc. and offers to reveal powers hidden within us Shravana (hearing), Manana (recapitulating and thinking over them again and again) and Nididhyanasana (contemplating meditation and allowing the mind to dwell in that state of silence) are the progressive steps towards bringing about such basic corrections in our notions. There are several deeper practices of yoga to control and alleviate the pain. These are the new techniques developed by V.K. Yogas with significant encouraging results.
According to Upanishad there are five levels of human existence. When we are handling the disease we have to give the techniques at all levels then only we can control & cure the disease.
